WTC Memorial and GIFT SHOP!

For those of you who know me (and to those who have yet to know me) 9/11 has caused me problems. It has set me over the edge.  For ther past 10 years I have not been able to go to the WTC site.  I would break down and cry (Marine that I am) everytime I would think about the people that perished that day.

Today, Christmas Day 2011, 10 years after, I was able to finally pay my respects in person.  I did have a weepy moment, and I did get emotional.  But the anger i felt, I did not expect. At the end of the Memorial, after seeing name after name, some saying "...and unborn child". After seeing the hole where those 2 building were.  The hole that was left with all of us. That is where the gift shop is. You can buy pins, tshirts, hats and more.

Over 3000 people died so that you can get a tshirt saying "I went to the 9/11 Memorial and all I got was this crummy tshirt."

Police and Abuse of Power

How many people out there have gotten a police written ticket?  If you haven't recieved a ticket, do you know of anyone who has gotten a police written ticket? I'll bet it is in the millions. Now how many of those tickets do you think were NOT fare? I'll bet that number is in the millions also.

Isn't it time that we all looked at this practice of ticketing people? My first complaint is that the Police, Town Attorney, and Judge of the ticket authority all work in the same building (I have yet to see this as an exception). Second complaint, is that I am paying each and everyone of those officials salary. Considering all this, is any ticket fare? Can an individual get a fail hearing in Municipal Court?

Where is Christmas? Where are those who profess to walk with God?

God has found me and guided me. I am far from perfect, but I try to act in Gods name. I don't steal, I don't cheat, I don't lie. I try my best to help my fellow man. Today, I am working on my ex-wifes car (even though I know that she speaks ill of me, all the time).  When I have extra food, or extra of anything, I give it away. I have very little of my own to begin with, but I give tons of stuff away.

I know that when my time comes, I will be rewarded. I know I will be taken care of by God. My problem is not with me! My problem is with my fellow man and what he/she are missing now.

I know people who go to church EVERY Sunday without fail. They will listen to the sermons and proclaim their love for Jesus Christ and for God. And the other 167 hours in the week they will lie, cheat, and do things to hurt their fellow man. If we all gave, then everyone could also receive. They would receive the warm and wonderful feeling that one gets from giving.

That is something you will never find under a Christmas Tree.  God Bless us, everyone.

Black and Blue Friday or Something Great?

  • Walmart, Porter Ranch, Los Angeles, CA woman pepper sprayed fellow shoppers to snag an Xbox.
  • Walmart, San Leandro, CA - Four gunmen demanded a man turn over his purchases. A fight broke out, one of the would-be robbers fired a gun, striking the man.
  • Walmart, Rome, N.Y. – A fight broke out as the clock ticked midnight, leading to two injuries and one arrest.
  • Walmart, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Thieves hit a man on the head and shot a woman in the leg outside at 1 a.m.
  • Walmart, Kissimmee, Fla. – A man was arrested after a fight at a jewelry counter.
  • Buckeye, Az. – Grandfather shoplifting, smashes head on concrete floor.
  • Walmart, Little Rock, Ar - Riot break out over $2 waffle makers.
  • Target, Portland, Or - Cars being smashed to gain access to toys.

We have become so materialistic, people are more interested in the next iPad, xBox, Wii.  Whatever TOY is the newest and greatest. We have forgotten what the holidays are about.

Christ was born in a manger. His parents were not rich, as a mater of fact they were in Bethleham to pay taxes. They were not royalty.  Joseph was a carpenter and Mary was a housewife. A common working family. Yet this child who had very little in birth, made something great.

In the story of Hanukkah, the Maccabees retook a temple from the Syrian-Greek army. When they went to rededicate the temple and to purify it from being defiled by swine sacrafices, they found they only had enough oil to last 1 day and yet it burned for 8 days. These were rebels. They were not the highly trained Syrian-Greek army. They have very little. They did not even have enough oil. And yet they did something great.

We can be materialistic or we can do something great.  The choice is yours.  My kids had it all growing up and yet I don't think they understand.  I have friends of mine with so little, and I know thier children understand because even though the have so little, they have done so much, and they have given back.

Black Thursday? Where are you God?

Today's Star-Ledger has an article about how "Black Friday" now starts on Thursday. Black Friday was traditionally the day when stores would sell enough goods to move their ledgers from red ink to black ink signifying the move into profitability for the year.

Thanksgiving was a holiday that was to give thanks to God our creator. To give thanks to God for providing a good harvest that will provide enough food to make it through the winter months.

It was a time to share with family and friends.  It was a time when got closer to those who we have not seen since last Thanksgiving.  It was a time to remember those who have passed since then and to think about those who may be sick or alone.

We have now moved Christmas to Halloween, bypassing Thanksgiving altogether.  Our holiday period started on Thanksgiving Day when we would watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV and couldn't wait to see Santa Clause riding in his sleigh at the end.

Hallmark Channel has started showing Christmas movies in the middle of November.  Next year will they have the parade on All Saints Day?

Christmas is not about how much we spend on each other, it is about the birth of our Savior. Hanukkah is not about 8 days of presents, it is about a miracle from God.  Thanksgiving is not about football and shopping, it is about family and friends and giving thanks to God for all that he provides for us.

God bless all of you and have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

OWS (or ouch for the rest of us)

The Occupy Wall Street has it all wrong.  According to Russell Simmons (an OWS supporter and protester) they want corporations out of controlling our country.  Russell Simmons is described as Hip-hop mogul.

Now if I can remember Mr. Simmons does not give his stuff away for free.  He sells it.  Having lobbied congress for the Hip-hop and reggae artists, he is also a LOBBIEST.  He wants government to FORCE people to only BUY only LICENSED content. This is so that he can get his share of the royalties.

This is a corporation (DefJam Records) using its money (Lawyers and Artists and Mr. Simmons don't work for free) and influence to change laws.  Which is exactly what Mr. Simmons says he is against.

What needs to change is our election laws.  I have a very simple and easy change that should make everyone (except lobbiest like Mr. Simmons) happy.

IF YOU CAN'T VOTE, YOU CAN'T CONTRIBUTE TO A CAMPAIGN.

This would eliminate companies, corporations, unions, organizations (profit and non-profit), lobbiests and any foreign persons or people for influencing an election.  It would also prevent someone in California from contributing to the New York Governors campaign.

In order to get these changes enacted, WE THE PEOPLE need to stop voting for the LESSER OF TWO EVILS. Remember this: THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS, IS STILL EVIL.

This actually shows George Soros's hand taking a break from manipulating Obama.  Absolute proof that he IS the Puppet Master.
